Your beloved grandma dies. Hard enough, so tell us you’re not gonna take a picture of her in the casket and keep it by the hearth, okay? Well, they did back in the Victorian Age, when death was a familiar caller and the act of dying was seen as more release than damnation. The “Gone But Never Forgotten: Postmortem Photography” features numerous examples of the then-popular mourning practice, from fallen angels to elders in stately repose, taken between the years 1860 and 1900. Wednesdays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 3. Continues through Nov. 25, 2007
