It’s natural to obsess over decisions we didn’t make. Tonight’s 8:30 p.m. game at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, will give Phoenix Suns’ fans a glimpse of the road not taken when the team hosts the Chicago Bulls. Two years ago, the Suns declined to hire Vinny Del Negro as their new head coach; Del Negro promptly signed on as Chicago’s skipper. After a promising first year, Del Negro’s Bulls have sputtered in the first half of this season. However, he has Chi-town playing strong defense and, with guard Derrick Rose at his disposal, old Vinny may have the tools to make the Suns regret their decision for at least one night.
