Now that the ghoulies are back in their graves after All Hallow’s, everyone can feel a little safer singing their favorite ghost-taunting movie theme loud and proud when the Ghostbusters 25th Anniversary Screening takes place tonight at MADCAP Theatres.
Local late-night-movie queen Midnite Movie Mamacita teamed up with the Arizona Ghostbusters organization to pay homage to the original ghost fighters: Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson). Event organizers are working on getting a giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man for the event. Either way, the AZ Ghostbusters will be handing out Twinkies and marshmallows before the show. There will also be a raffle preceding the first screening, and Spazdog Comics will provide Ghostbusters goodies for the winners.
