There aren’t many professional sports teams in Arizona with a habit of actually winning championships, but our arena football team, the Arizona Rattlers, kicks ass on a regular basis. And if you’ve got hot moves and a nice bod, you can be a part of the team — so to speak.

The Sidewinders, the official dance team of the Arizona Rattlers, will host the last pre-audition prep class on Thursday, October 24. Dancers will need to be prepared to perform several routines and give a brief introduction. Typical Sidewinders routines require jazz, hip-hop, pom, character theme, and acrobatic skills. You’ll also get tips about the 2014 auditions, which will be held in January.

Bring it on from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Gold’s Gym, 8440 West Thunderbird Road in Peoria. Dancers must be 17 or older to participate. Bring identification and $20 cash. Athletic clothes and non-marking shoes are required. For more information, visit www.azrattlers.com/sidewinders.
