Good news for those who are cruising the downtown galleries on March’s Third Friday Artwalk: You’ll be able to see Katherine Zsolt’s “Leaving My Father’s House” at the Icehouse and Bob Carey Ballerinas at Bokeh Gallery.

The Waiting II, the final segment of Canadian artist Katherine Zsolt’s “Leaving My Father’s House” installed in the Cathedral Room of the Icehouse, will be open to the public on the evening of Friday, March 19. Though the rest of the Icehouse will be closed that day for a private event, the Cathedral Room is being kept open. Don’t miss the chance to see this powerful sculptural installation at night. All parts of the show will be open from noon to 10 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21. The Icehouse is located at 429 W Jackson Street in downtown Phoenix, (602) 257-8929.

Artist/photographer Bob Carey is having another opening of his exhibition of ballerina images at Bokeh Gallery on Third Friday. And in honor of The Great Recession, Carey and the gallery are extending a 25% discount on all work being shown. Guess there is a silver lining to every cloud. Bokeh Gallery is located next to Monorchid at 214 E Roosevelt.
