Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
Say “vintage” to a hipster and you’ll see the same reaction as if you were to say “walk” to a dog. Hip kids will perk up their ears and start panting when they see what’s in store for them at the Cheap Thrills’ Second Saturday Marketplace.
The tiny vintage and antique retail shop at 2540 East Indian School Road has great deals on overflowing stock of second-hand merch every second Saturday of the month. Cruise through to see mountains of costume jewelry, racks of vintage threads, cowboy boots galore, and an entire kitchen filled with bric-à-brac. Local artists will be around to show off contemporary one-of-a-kinds, and there’ll be food, drinks, and music.
Second Saturday of every month, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Starts: Jan. 8. Continues through May 14, 2011
