Marketing gurus have long been hip to the power of alliteration, particularly when tied to a weekday. Heck, what would America be without Taco Tuesdays? Well, the folks at Phoenix’s Bar Smith, 130 East Washington Street, also like alliteration a lot. Aside from Big Fun Fridays and Solstice Saturdays, the Valley hotspot hosts Throwback Thursdays, which features DJs Tricky T and Fact135 spinning old-school hip-hop. As if taking a booze-tinged stroll down memory lane on the second coolest day of the week wasn’t enough, ladies pay no cover. Throw (some) back starting at 10 p.m. The event is 21-and-over.
