Since there’s really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand, each week Jackalope Ranch brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite drinking establishments, complete with recipe. This week: Tongue-n-Groove at The Little Woody.

While some are still lamenting the loss of The Great Escape on Indian School and 42nd Place, their (smarter) counterparts are too busy celebrating the arrival of the
The Little Woody
Brought to you by the folks behind The Vig, The Little Woody is a speakeasy-style watering hole. Fair warning: There’s no signage anywhere on the building, so you’ll have to look for the wood paneling on the front, park in the back, and enter through the back door.
One of The Little Woody’s five specialty cocktails is The Tongue-n-Groove, a refreshing take on the classic Tom Collins. And you can get your mind out of the gutter now — it’s named for a method of joining wood.
OK, that didn’t help.

Ingredients:
1 strawberry

1-1/2 oz Absolut Ruby Red

1/2 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur

3/4 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz simple syrup

Club soda

Method:
– In a shaker glass, use a muddler to smash strawberry.
– Add remaining ingredients except club soda. Shake well with ice cubes.
– Strain over fresh ice into a 10-ounce Collins glass. Top with club soda, and stir gently.
– Garnish with a strawberry.
