Higher Phoenix temperatures = more hot sex?

According to a recent survey by Trojan Brand Condoms, that’s exactly right.

Trojan’s “Degrees of Pleasure” survey links weather with sexual satisfaction; the results for Phoenix show, among other things, 70 percent of the people polled in Phoenix are “always up for sex,” regardless of the temperature, and 50 percent said they’d had sex during a heat wave.

Who says the heat can stop us?

Phoenix was one of ten cities included in the survey, which gathered
information online from more than 1,000 participants. The “Degrees of
Pleasure” survey is tied to the release of Trojan’s new “Fire and Ice”
condoms, which supposedly provide both warming and tingling sensations.

But do we really need more heat in the Valley? Maybe.

The
survey concluded that the average person in Miami has the most sex (an average of
102 times per year). The average person in Phoenix only hits it 87 times and has the shortest duration of sex at 25 minutes a pop.

The survey shows that the ideal temperature for sex outdoors is 70
degrees — a temperature only seen in Phoenix for a couple months of the
year, if we’re lucky. No need to despair. Since we’ll be seeing triple digits temps
outside through September, a sex product that provides cool
“tingling” sensations probably isn’t the worst idea in the world.
