It’s no secret that we hate Tucson and the scum who populate the freaking place. But when we remember folks like Hank Arnold – a Tucson racecar driver who won more than 160 main events throughout Arizona before dying in a Manzanita Speedway crash in 1967 – well, we still hate the place (sorry, it’s in our blood).

But seriously, we gotta give Arnold his props. Not only is he an Arizona legend, but he was also one of the nicest dudes on the planet. On Saturday, June 14, check out Arizona sprint cars on the half-mile track and midgets zooming along the quarter-mile during the Hank Arnold Memorial, an event in its 41st year.
