Airlines aren’t giving anything away for free these days. That makes us jealous of our winged friends, as bird feeders still provide an in-flight meal, completely gratis. But then again we’re neither cute nor feathered — and we can’t sing that well.

Perhaps instead of whining, we should follow the flock of 11 local artists who used birdy buffets as inspiration for “twEAT: Artist Made Bird Feeders.” Their one-of-a-kind bird feeder-inspired pieces are meant to capture the aesthetic appeal of traditional feeders and convey their ability to allow an owner to observe and connect with nature.
