The Cardinals, the Sun Devils, and the Wildcats have given local football fans more reasons to be angry and nihilistic than happy. With all of the pain and suffering those teams have inflicted on loyal fans, the success of the Arizona Rattlers tends to get overlooked. They haven’t gotten much fanfare, but this year’s squad looks poised to add a third title to the team’s collection.
The Rattlers could take a big step towards another title on Friday, July 6, when they host the Utah Blaze at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street. A win over the second-place Blaze would lock up a division title for the Rattlers and would keep the team in contention for home-field advantage.
