Did’ja get picked last in grade-school volleyball? Did it leave an emotional scar? Perhaps you became antisocial and personal relationships suffered as a result of the trauma. As you grew older, you began to push people away. Now you can’t even hold a conversation with the opposite sex unless you’re full-on plastered.
Sound familiar? Well, save the dollars you’d spend on therapy and plunk them down during the Friday Night Coed 4s Blind Draw Volleyball Tournament. Boiled down, that means they have to let you play — uh, utilize your spiking and passing skills — on the sand court. The incentive here is supposed to be the cash prize, but it’s really about building confidence as a player, on and off the court. Pretty soon, grade school will be just another forgotten memory.
