Jared Leto got some love at the VMAs Sunday night with his band 30 Seconds to Mars, but a decade ago he was portraying a drug addict spinning out of control alongside Jennifer Connelly and Marlon Wayans in an artsy (and crazy-depressing) flick called Requiem for a Dream.

Thursday night, the Arizona State University film school is hosting a screening of the movie followed by a question and answer Skype session with one of the film’s producers.

More info after the jump…

The screening kicks off at 7:15 p.m. in room 117 of the ASU education building. After the show, producer Palmer West will be projected big-brother style in an on-screen Skype chat to answer questions about the film and his role in making it. (That is, if anyone’s feeling up to it after the downer ending.)
