If you’ve ever visited Practical Art, chances are you’ve noticed the repurposed wine bottle tumblers by local artist Ray Delmuro of Refresh Glass. This week, Delmuro and Practical Art team up to teach you how to recycle your own red wine remnants with a free demo on wine bottle vase-making.

This Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. bring a clean, empty wine bottle to Practical Art and watch as Delmuro takes you through the step-by-step process of cutting and sanding your wine bottle into a usable vase, votive holder, or really any makeshift cylinder container of your choosing. Due to the rugged DIY nature of this demo, repurposed glassware should not be used as drinking cups.

Guests of this free demo are invited to donate their extra wine bottles to Delmuro’s Refresh Glass business. For more information, visit the Practical Art event on Facebook.
