(Woulda been handy when we learned that our witchy roommate had burned through a Benjamin of our long-distance service.) Real life remains less thrilling, though, so it’s off to ASU Gammage (via Metro, not broomstick) for a return engagement of Broadway’s musical adaptation of the opener in Gregory Maguire’s “The Wicked Years,” a series of not-for-kids novels paralleling The Wizard of Oz you grew up with, introducing juicy soap-opera elements like adultery, murder, and political intrigue.
