You’ll want to remember where you were during Red Is the Night (ideally, at Red Is the Night), because it will long be talked of. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and his wife, Nicole Stanton’s kickoff fundraiser for Aunt Rita’s Foundation’s HIV education and outreach program, ProjectHIVAZ, is the first annual event, and we’ve stopped calling “first annual” a misnomer — it’s all about optimism.
It’s also all about an open bar, bitches! plus live music, appetizers, desserts, a silent auction, and the Mayor’s announcement about the future of ProjectHIVAZ. Only 350 tickets at $50 or $100 each are available for lucky 21-and-over guests. Nail down your spot at www.redisthenight.org, or call 602-904-6001. Then work up a fierce outfit, because this soiree, commencing at 6 p.m. Friday, July 26, is inside the super-air-conditioned AE England building at Civic Space Park, 444 North Central, and a casual dress code is merely a challenge.
Fri., July 26, 6 p.m., 2013
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
