This summer, home design store West Elm will open a new location at Uptown Plaza, the outdoor mall at Central Avenue and Camelback Road that was restored to its midcentury glory in 2014.
Since its revival, Uptown Plaza has become home to six boutiques: Francesca’s, R&R Surplus, Muse Apparel, Scout & Molly’s, Manor Shoes, and Local Nomad. West Elm will be located near the northeast corner of the mall, next to

West Elm designs 90 percent of its products in-house. Its two Valley stores also sell products from Arizona craftsmen.

West Elm will be the complex’s first furniture and home decor store. For West Elm, the uptown location will be its second in the Valley, with the first at Scottsdale Quarter. The brand is a branch of Williams Sonoma, which also owns Pottery Barn, Rejuvenation, and Mark and Graham.

West Elm’s focus is affordable, modern home furniture and decor. Most of its items are designed in-house with sustainably-sourced, organic, and handcrafted materials. The other 10 percent of its wares are fair-trade-certified or locally sourced. The Uptown Plaza shop will include products from Arizona-based makers.
The new store will be located at 100 East Camelback Road in Phoenix. Opening updates and information will be announced on its Instagram.
