If stereotypes hold true and fashion fiends aren’t the brainiest bunch, then perhaps that’s why Seth Meyers’ jokes about John Galliano and Marc Jacobs during the recent CFDA Awards weren’t met with roaring laughter. Or maybe self-consciousness was the culprit, as Meyers joked, “… The world of high fashion: It’s just a bunch of easygoing, laid-back people who love to laugh at themselves.”
During Fashion and the Spoken Word Meyers’ playful assertion likely will be proved wrong when Valley fashion folks meet local poets for a mellow evening of stylish readings at Tempe’s Here on the Corner.
