The Olympics are plenty over. But, since our favorite sport — drinking — was overlooked, we’re not too disappointed. Maybe next time they’ll make things more interesting with beer pong, flipcup, or bottle flipping.
Until that day comes, we’ll happily rely on our local mixologists for a drinking competition fix. On Monday, August 27, we can join more than 15 of the Valley’s best booze masters as they compete for the gold in the Second Annual Bartender’s Bourbon Battle at BLT Steak. The shakers and stirrers of the cocktail world will create unique bourbon cocktails during the competition. Event attendees will have the opportunity to sample each concoction, vote for their favorites, and crown one the Best Bourbon Cocktail.
The drinks flow at 6 p.m., with voting starting shortly thereafter. Tasting and voting tickets cost $1 each, and all proceeds go to Children’s Miracle Network.
