Good news for the Phoenix Suns: Tonight’s opponents are the Minnesota Timberwolves, mainstays of the NBA’s bottom-feeding contingent. Bad news: Like many NBA dogs, the T-Wolves historically give the Suns fits, though the Big Cactus and crew did pull off a 110-102 win in Minneapolis back on November 26. Really bad news: Phoenix had better snatch another W against the Wolves while the snatching’s good, ’cause on Sunday, the Suns head into one of those hair-ball NBA stretches where they play six games in nine nights, all on the road (at Toronto, Boston, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Washington) and with two deadly back-to-backs. Of course, beating Minnesota’s easier said than done thanks to T-Wolves forward/center Al Jefferson, a Suns assassin nonpareil.
