Modern comedians don’t get much darker than Christopher Titus. The writer, actor, comedian who grew up with a murderous schizophrenic mother, abusive alcoholic father, and had a cheating, check-forging ex-wife has managed to spawn a fair amount of material he defines as “hard funny.” Some of Titus’s most notable comedy works include Norman Rockwell is Bleeding, The Voice in My Head, Love Is Evol, Neverlution, and his former self-titled Fox sitcom, Titus.
Now Titus is taking his tour, Angry Pursuit of Happiness, on the road and out to Phoenix. He will perform at Stand Up Live, 50 West Jefferson Street. Showtimes are 7 and 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 25. Tickets are $25 plus a two-drink minimum for this 21-and-over show.
