Set your sights on a summer staycation on Arizona State University’s turf at Graduate Tempe. The hardest decision you’ll have to make? Garden or campus view.
Stay cool with the Stay Local package, where you’ll get a daily $25 credit to The Normal Diner or Tapacubo – the Graduate’s poolside cantina complete with rooftop bar overlooking campus. If you haven’t hit the LUSTRE Rooftop Bar and third-floor outdoor pool at the Hotel Palomar Phoenix CityScape, this summer is your chance.
Hotel Palomar is offering the “Fast Forward to Summer" staycation option good from April 4 to September 3. The offer includes lower room rates and 20 percent off at Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails and LUSTRE Rooftop Bar. Other special offers include the Long Weekender, the Sweet Suite Life, and $5 Breakfast or Cocktails.
The pool is open daily at 11 a.m., and closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday. That familiar Scottsdale hotel at the southeast corner of 68th Street and Camelback Road is offering its own summer deals for those looking to hang around the area and maybe hit Scottsdale Fashion Square.
For all of 2017, the Hotel Valley Ho is offering the 60th Anniversary Special. Celebrate with the classic hotel with 10 percent off your room, a $10 room upgrade upon arrival, an evening arrival amenity (mysterious), two welcome drinks, and $10 in hotel bucks for each night you stay. The offer is valid for stays till December 31.

Royal Palms Resort and Spa

Formally Royal Palms Resort and Spa, A Destination Hotel, this upscale Phoenix resort gives off an estate vibe at the base of Camelback Mountain. And Royal Palms is offering the public a summer package called “Luxe Lounging.” Ooh la la.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, rooms are going for $189 a night, and of course include plenty of additional amenities. Featured accommodations for this summer special include a $50 credit to Alvadora Spa and a $25 food and beverage credit to T. Cook’s, the Royal Palms on-site restaurant. Summer at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort sounds pretty good, and this place is bustling with summer specials, as well as a recent addition – Spa House. Sanctuary is also known for its on-site eateries: Elements (and the picturesque Elements Deck) and Jade Bar, which is ideal for cocktail hour.

This is the second summer for The Camby Hotel, and they have it all planned out. Within walking distance of Biltmore Fashion Park, The Camby is offering summer packages for dining-out types, the outdoor types, and yes, the indoor types.
Some creative hotel perks at this Biltmore-area hotel include the Check In. Jam Out (meaning guests can borrow a Gretsch guitar at no charge for indoor acoustic sessions). Some activities include Skywall Movies (where guests can check out full-screen movies each night at dusk at the 24-hour pool), The Bees Knees (signature, honey-infused cocktails paired with live music Fridays from 8 to 11 p.m.), the Wade Poolside Bar (drinks, eats, and cabana rentals), and of course just walking to Biltmore Fashion Park.
Those looking for a staycation and planning to check in between Thursday through Sunday can try the Dine & Elevate package, which offers an accommodation upgrade to a Mountain View Room, a nightly $50 food and beverage credit for dinner at Artizen, and a half-off valet parking discount. The Saguaro Scottsdale

This cute, desert flower-themed boutique hotel is offering some staycation deals for us locals in downtown Scottsdale.
Till September 30, the Local Staycation Offer features $40 off the nightly rate, a $40 food and beverage credit, and a 2 p.m. late check out on Sunday through Thursday – all available with an Arizona ID. In-room luxuries include organic bath products and linens, and modern furniture and décor. Other summer specials include the Saguaro Sun & Spa Package (two-night stay, couple massage, and poolside daybed) and the Daybed & Night (two-night stay complete with a daybed, food and drink, and watermelon cups).
Guests can always take a dip in a heated or chilled pool — or spread out on one of the private cabanas, daybeds, and open lounge seating. The on-site spa is open Monday from noon to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Saguaro Restaurant serves from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and the Vault Coffee & Juice Bar is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other amenities include a 24-hour gym and desert cruiser bikes available to guests.

If you plan on spoiling yourself for a night, try the one-night Summer Staycation Package, offering a deluxe king or queen guest room, a waived resort fee (usually $25 a night), a $25 food and beverage credit (for Ahnala Mesquite Room and poolside or room service), 25 percent off regular-price spa treatments, and $10 of casino free play.
