Theater lovers and musical fans of the Valley, better clear your schedule. The Phoenix Theatre Company has announced its 2025-26 season, and the lineup is packed with Tony Award winners, new works and a few classics.

The season, which starts on Oct. 8, will feature 10 productions. Highlights include the heartfelt “Come From Away,” high-energy jukebox musical “Million Dollar Quartet” and uproarious crowd-pleaser “Hairspray.”

The season will also mark the debut of PTC’s new Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre, a 500-seat Broadway-style venue offering space for larger productions and cutting-edge technical design.

Here’s the complete lineup for Phoenix Theatre Company’s 2025-26 season:

'The Roads to Loch Lomond'

Oct. 8 to Nov. 2
Hormel Theatre
Phoenix Theatre Company kicks off its 2025-26 season with this regional premiere musical mixing Scottish myth and history. Described as a “breathtaking tale of love, sacrifice, and rebellion,” it follows two brothers torn between family and honor as they battle for their homeland. As they navigate loyalty, duty, and the harsh realities of war, their choices will shape not only their own fates but the future of those they love.

'Looking Over the President’s Shoulder'

Oct. 29 to Dec. 14
Hardes Theatre
Playwright and author James Still’s riveting one-man production peeks behind the curtains of history through the eyes of Alonzo Fields, a freed slave and the White House’s first African-American chief butler. Based on his memoirs, the play follows Alonzo Fields through decades of service under four American presidents, revealing the heart behind the history and the personal sacrifices woven into a life of public service.

'A Christmas Carol'

Nov. 19, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026
Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre
Phoenix Theatre Company will celebrate the holidays with a six-week staging of “A Christmas Carol.” Inspired by the Actors Theatre production of the Charles Dickens’ classic — which ran annually for and entertained thousands of Valley residents for almost two decades — it features a score by the PTC’s late musical director Alan Ruch.

'Million Dollar Quartet'

Dec. 17 to March 8, 2026.
Hormel Theatre
The hit Tony-nominated jukebox musical recounting the 1956 impromptu jam session by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins at the Sun Studio in Memphis is something every theatergoer must see once. PTC will stage an 11-week run of “Million Dollar Quartet,” which celebrates this seminal moment in the history of rock ‘n’ roll.

'Come From Away'

Jan. 28 to April 5, 2026
Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre
The Tony Award-winning musical is based on the real-life story of how a tight-knit Newfoundland town welcomed 7,000 stranded travelers temporarily displaced in the aftermath of Sept. 11. Critically acclaimed for its heartfelt narrative and uplifting score, “Come From Away” showcases the power of kindness and community in the face of tragedy and is a standout of Phoenix Theatre Company’s 2025-26 lineup.

“Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical”

March 4 to May 3, 2026
Hardes Theatre
This musical recounts the career of the iconic singer Rosemary Clooney, capturing her rise to fame with hits like "Come On-a My House" and the various personal struggles she endured. Utilizing soulful ballads, sharp humor and witty dialogue, “Tenderly” is a touching tribute to Clooney, celebrating her life and musical legacy.

'Daddy Long Legs'

April 1 to April 26, 2026
Hormel Theatre
This charming and clever musical, based on the beloved 1912 novel, centers on an orphan named Jerusha Abbott whose college tuition is paid for by an anonymous philanthropist she dubs "Daddy Long Legs." Told through a series of letters between Jerusha and her benefactor, the two-person production was previously staged locally by the Arizona Theatre Company back in 2012.

'Ever After'

May 6 to June 21, 2026
Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre
If you weren’t a fan of the 1998’s “Ever After,” which starred Drew Barrymore and reimagined the classic fairy tale of Cinderella, this musical adaptation of the fantasy flick might not cast its spell on you. Folks who enjoy timeless stories of courage and love will likely find PTC’s staging to be pure magic, though.

'Dear Evan Hansen'

June 10 to Aug. 9, 2026
Hormel Theatre
This critically acclaimed 2016 musical about bullied teen Evan Hansen is described as a “poignant exploration of loneliness, hope and self-discovery.” Praised for its emotional depth and powerful storytelling, its Broadway run lasted nearly six years and earned six Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.

'Hairspray'

July 15 to Aug. 30, 2026
Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre
PTC wraps up its season with the Tony Award-winning musical adaptation of John Waters’ 1988 cult comedy flick, which follows Baltimore teenybopper Tracy Turnblad and her dreams of dancing on “The Corny Collins Show.”
