Biketober Happy Hour Kick Off Ride
All throughout the month of October, Phoenix Spokes People will put the pedal to the metal with cycling-centered events. Kicking things off will be a special bike happy hour at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1. Bikers will meet at City Hall at 5:15 p.m. and travel the three and a half miles to Phoenix Public Market Cafe, where they will be greeted with free chips and salsa as well as extended happy hour specials. Early Archaeology of Pueblo Grande
Indulge your inner Indiana Jones and head on over to the Pueblo Grande Museum for a special lecture on uncovering history. This free and public lecture scheduled from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, will feature Todd Bostwick of PaleoWest Archaeology and Verde Valley Archaeology Center, as he discuss the early excavation of the Pueblo Grande. Tailgate Toneup Fitness Series
Join Flip'n Fit and Branded every Saturday through November 22, as they host Tailgate Toneup Fitness at Tempe Creamery Park. This free community workout class will get the blood flowing and the football season going with a weekly offering post-workout tailgate activities such as outdoor sports, games, and barbecue. Each week, organizers of Tailgate Tone Fitness will be accepting donations to benefit a different charity of their choice.
