If Phoenix Fan Fusion is known for anything — besides being a massive celebration of all things geeky — it’s all the costumes. Cosplay rules the three-day pop-culture and comic con at the Phoenix Convention Center, as thousands of fans transform into characters from anime, video games, sci-fi, fantasy and other nerdy subject matter.

Such is again the case at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2025. The weekend-long con ran from June 6 to 8 and the cosplay definitely came in hot.

All three days of Fan Fusion saw people donning colorful and astounding costumes inspired by cartoons like “Bob's Burgers,” popular anime series like "One Piece” and video games like "Poppy Playtime."

Cosplay inspired by “Star Wars” was also in abundance on Friday, with many attendees channeling Anakin Skywalker. It’s due to the fact that Hayden Christensen, the actor who played the fallen Jedi Knight in multiple “Star Wars” films and television shows, is one of this year’s biggest celebrity guests at Fan Fusion (even if his packed Q&A panel was turned people away due to capacity issues).

Another popular pick so far? "Hazbin Hotel," the adult animated program on Netflix. With multiple voice actors from the show, including Alex Brightman and Blake Roman, appearing at Fan Fusion 2025, expect even more of them as the weekend rolls on.

As is the norm at Fan Fusion, some cosplayers take things to the different level with their outfits. Many spend months planning and crafting elaborate, show-stopping costumes to debut at the con. Corwin Schultz of Florence was one such cosplayer, as he built an impressive recreation of a RX-78-2 Gundam suit from the iconic anime series "Gundam." Others were inspired by childhood figures or beloved films and television shows.

Here are photos of the best costumes at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2025 from all three days of the event.
