Another week, another opportunity to have fun without spending too much. Here are our picks for some cool stuff to do that won’t cost you a dime.
‘Between Two Worlds’
Moving nearly 9,000 miles from Mumbai, India to Chandler, Arizona prompted Shachi Kale to begin drawing and painting as a way to express her emotions, which she often explored through the narratives and imagery of Western fairy tales. Now her lively artworks are featured in a new exhibition titled “Between Two Worlds,” which is on view inside the gallery at Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 North Arizona Avenue, Chandler. See her unique style and thematic approach for free on Monday, August 30, when gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit continues through September 25. Lynn Trimble
