It's safe to say that St. Patrick's Day is a big-time bash in the Valley. For those of Irish descent, it's a time for taking pride in your heritage and honoring the patron saint of the Emerald Isle. For everyone else, though, it's yet another day for getting soused and sporting silly hats. Everybody wants to be Irish during St. Paddy's Day, just like every two-bit tavern and corner bar is gonna try to cash in on the Gaelic groupies by serving up more green beer than your bladder could possibly hold (hey, does it come out the same color?). Since there are so many places to Erin go, brah, in the PHX, we've compiled listings of all the best places to get your Irish up on Friday, March 17 (unless otherwise noted). It's the biggest lowdown on the green scene since the Book of Kells that'll help clue you in on all the crackalackin' Celtic craics and score your own pot o' partying gold at the end of the rainbow.

You could be the winner of four VIP tickets to the New Times Music Showcase, being held April 9 on Mill Avenue in Tempe; and a case of Bud Light. Count the number of Bud Light bottles that appear in the print version of this St. Patrick's Day Guide and enter online at Winners must be 21 years or older and will be selected through a random drawing of all correct entries. Winners will be notified by phone by Monday, March 20.
