Just in time for “Star Wars” Day, the folks behind Phoenix Fan Fusion have unleashed a Death Star-sized announcement sure to thrill local geeks.

On Thursday, event organizer Square Egg Entertainment revealed that Hayden Christensen — the actor who played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the “Star Wars” prequel films — will appear at the 2025 edition of the pop-culture convention from June 6 to 8 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Impressive. Most impressive.

It will mark Christensen’s first-ever visit to Phoenix Fan Fusion and is the latest in a series of public outings for the Canadian-born actor. Last month, he attended Star Wars Celebration in Japan and made a surprise appearance alongside Samuel L. Jackson at a 20th-anniversary screening of “Revenge of the Sith” in L.A.

In true “Star Wars” fashion, Square Egg built suspense with a dose of hyperbole ahead of announcing Christensen’s appearance. On Wednesday, the Phoenix-based company teased “the biggest announcement we've ever made,” and later dropped classic franchise catchphrases like “the Force is strong with this one” across social media in the hours leading up to the reveal.

Christensen won’t be the only "Star Wars" actor featured at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2025. Square Egg previously announced that Simon Pegg and Dominic Monaghan — both featured in the sequel trilogy — along with C-3PO legend Anthony Daniels, will also be guests of the three-day event.

Other celebrities and pop culture icons set to appear at Fan Fusion 2025 include Marisa Tomei, Rainn Wilson, Katey Sagal, Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ron Perlman, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner and Kevin Smith.

Square Egg has yet to announce autograph and photo op prices for its guests.

Phoenix Fan Fusion 2025 tickets are available at phoenixfanfusion.com/pricing. Daily general admission is currently $39 to $59 and a full-event pass for the entire weekend is currently $89. VIP admission is $595 and includes a $100 credit for branded merch, early entry to celebrity panels, access to dedicated autograph lines and more.
