Where to celebrate Mardi Gras 2025 in Phoenix

Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is traditionally the last day before the season of Lent begins, a period of time characterized by self-denial and religious reflection.

This year, Mardi Gras falls on March 4, which means that it's time to party before the clock strikes midnight and Ash Wednesday begins.

Here are places around metro Phoenix to celebrate Fat Tuesday, including some events that take place later in the month, just in case you want to let the good times roll past the official holiday.

Fat Tuesday Westgate

Where better to celebrate Mardi Gras than at a bar named after the holiday? This West Valley hotspot will host one of the biggest Mardi Gras parties in town, including drink specials, beads and all-around fun.

CC's on Central

Let the good times roll at this popular soul food restaurant, where you can celebrate with food, drinks and music by a DJ. The party goes till 8 p.m.

Good Time Charli's

6045 W. Chandler Blvd., # 7, Chandler
Tuesday, March 4
This neighborhood joint will be celebrating the holiday in style with a raffle, costume contest, music by a DJ, taco and drink specials and more.

West Alley BBQ

111 W. Boston St., Chandler
Tuesday, March 4
The East Valley venue and eatery will treat guests to $10 food and drink specials, and zydeco music by the Kreative Culture Band. The fun gets going at 5 p.m.

Fat Tuesday Tempe

680 S. Mill Ave., Tempe
Tuesday, March 4
Fat Tuesday has been a nightlife mainstay in Tempe for decades, and never more so than on Mardi Gras. The party will roll till the 2 a.m. closing time.

The Womack

Tuesday, March 4
The Womack, always a classy spot for drinks and music, will host a Feaux Gator Mardi Gras Jam. For an evening of smooth tunes and smooth cocktails, show up from 8 to 11 p.m.
