Geeks of the Valley, stock up on Schrute bucks and dust off your cricket bats. Phoenix Fan Fusion has announced that actors Simon Pegg and Rainn Wilson will be special guests will be special guests of the pop-culture convention from June 6 to 8.
It will be the first time either star has attended the annual event, which takes place at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Wilson, who is scheduled to appear at Fan Fusion on Sunday, June 8, is well-known to pop culture fans and devoted nerds alike. Best recognized as the eccentric, power-hungry Dwight Schrute on NBC’s "The Office," he’s made a career out of playing lovable oddballs and brainy weirdos — most notably on "Six Feet Under" and in geek-friendly flicks like "Galaxy Quest" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
Simon Pegg, appearing at the event on Saturday, June 7, is a British comedic treasure with a sharp wit and love of the absurd. He broke into mainstream fame with "Shaun of the Dead" and the rest of the Cornetto Trilogy, co-created the cult hit "Spaced," and boldly joined the "Star Trek" universe as Scotty in the 2009 big-screen reboot.
The duo joins an already stacked lineup for Phoenix Fan Fusion 2025. Previously announced guests include Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, Futurama star Katey Sagal, Anthony Daniels from the "Star Wars" saga, and all four Hobbits from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy — Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd.
Square Egg Entertainment, the Valley-based company behind Fan Fusion, has yet to announce autograph and photo op prices for either Wilson or Pegg. Both are scheduled to take part in Q&A panels during their appearances.
Phoenix Fan Fusion tickets — or “memberships,” as they’re called — are currently available at phoenixfanfusion.com/pricing. Daily general admission is $39 to $59 and a full-event pass for the entire weekend is $89. VIP admission is $595 and includes a $100 credit for branded merch, early entry to celebrity panels, access to dedicated autograph lines and other perks.
