There’s no better time of year to be outdoors than on the perfectly temperate evenings we’ve been blessed with lately -- especially when you’re surrounded by desert serenity, gourmet food, glowing margarita glasses to light your way, and the soothing unplugged sounds of local rock icon Roger Clyne.

Desert Botanical Garden will offer such a masterful milieu Friday, March 25 at their annual Agave on the Rocks party. Renowned Valley restaurants and caterers will tempt and tantalize taste buds with traditional Sonoran and Mexican cuisine. Attendees will also be given a complimentary margarita in the aforementioned glowing glasses upon entering the fete. Clyne, who knows a thing or two about the agave plant, will play an acoustic set and hold a special meet-and-greet afterwards to promote his new Mexican Moonshine tequila.

Proceeds benefit Desert Botanical Garden’s education, research, and conservation programs. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission to the 21-and-over event is $55 for DBG members, $60 for everyone else.
