Each week, Jackalope Ranch brings you a free event, workshop, or you-name-it happening in Phoenix. Because sometimes the best things in life really are free. This week's freebie: Music, Dance and Sketching in the Galleries.

This week, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is inviting you to show off your artistic side with Music, Dance and Sketching in the Galleries. This special event is being offered in conjunction with The Human Touch, a current exhibition on display at SMoCA now through April 28 that explores the human identity through all forms of cultural diversity and social complexity.

Starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Ballet Arizona's Sarah Chisholm, Beau Campbell, Raychel Weiner, and Myles Lavallee will perform and pose to The Human Touch-inspired tunes of DJ Cre.

With so much artistic influence happening at once, guests are encouraged to bring their sketch pads and pencils, and stake out a spot on the gallery floor.

For more information about this free event or The Human Touch exhibit, visit SMoCA online.
