The 20,000-seat venue announced Friday that the WWE will bring its flagship television show “Raw” back to the arena on Monday, Dec. 1, promising an evening of spandex-clad action, pyrotechnics and larger-than-life superstars.
Tickets to the event, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on Netflix, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
It’s one of five new live events the WWE announced on Friday as part of its upcoming touring schedule.
It's not the first time the WWE has invaded Desert Diamond Arena. The company has staged several events and broadcasts at the arena since it first opened in 2003, including a sold-out episode of "Raw" last November.
As any local mark might tell you, the metro Phoenix area is a hotbed for professional wrestling fandom. The WWE considers the Valley to be one of its top markets and has been bringing events to town since the mid-'80s (including appearances of the legendary Andre the Giant).
The WWE has brought its weekly television shows and other event to Valley venues like Desert Diamond Arena over the decades, including multiple pay-per-view spectacles like SummerSlam and WrestleMania.
Local WWE fans will have more than one chance to its superstars in action this fall. In addition to “Raw” at Desert Diamond Arena, the WWE previously announced it will bring “SmackDown” to Mullett Arena in Tempe on Friday, Oct. 24.
WWE has yet to confirm which stars will appear at the upcoming “Raw” in Glendale, but an announcement on Desert Diamond Arena’s Instagram account featured Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Penta, Naomi, Becky Lynch and current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, among others.

A presale for tickets to WWE “Raw” at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale will start at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Tickets to the general public will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15. Packages with a souvenir ticket and commemorative WWE magnet are also available.
