JP Olsen is a journalist, documentary filmmaker and musician based in Nashville. His written work has appeared in New York Magazine, The Village Voice, Please Kill Me, and the Nashville Scene, and his documentaries have been featured by The New York Times and PBS. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, where he has also taught, and is a MacDowell Fellow whose independent films have screened at festivals and museums around the world.
