The DJ duo of Roya and Funkfinger are the best friends any culture vulture could ever want. Together, the pulchritudinous pair puts on the dynamite dance night Obscura every month at vintage dive bar Rips, 3045 North 16th Street, serenading local scenesters with hot spins of retro Europop hits, '80s tracks, and indie music aplenty. They're also eager to hook y'all up with some of the freshest music and tickets to the latest concerts, as they will on Saturday, March 13. Copies of recently released discs by Serena Maneesh and The Morning Benders will be handed out, as will passes to upcoming gigs from You Say Party! We Say Die! and The Ruby Suns. Bartenders will also be serving up $2 house pints, $3 well drinks, $5 you-call-its all evening.
