Breadcrafters is hidden among then great strip mall expanse near Paradise Valley Mall. The small restaurant that specializes in bread and pastries has a few tables inside and a larger patio area, which is more accommodating.

You order café-style first and then take a seat to wait for your food.

We chose the Daily Double, which is a special featuring a different soup and sandwich or salad and sandwich combination each day for $6.95.

For our day, it was a half turkey avocado sandwich and half Garden Greens salad.

The sandwich was packed with turkey, but didn’t have any avocado on it at all. The multigrain bread was delicious, though, and made up for the lack of main ingredient.

The salad was simple with tomatoes, onions, olives, carrots and peppers. It seemed pretty fresh, and the blue cheese vinaigrette that we got on the side was very tasty.

We didn’t have dessert, but we were definitely tempted by the fruit tarts and freshly baked cookies.

Overall, the experience and service was average and the food was okay, but the bread was amazing.
