Number 42: Smoked truffled-infused filet mignon at Christopher’s
The steak-eating experience is the most primal thing ever, wrapped up in a swanky restaurant environment, and there are a lot of great steakhouses in Phoenix where I’m inevitably beguiled by the charms of an excellent cut of beef, beautifully prepared. 
But there’s a certain sublime steak that can only be found at a certain local French restaurant: the smoked truffle-infused filet mignon at Christopher’s. Leave it to chef Christopher Gross to take a perfectly delicious filet and make it even better, so that its beefy flavors mingle with the potent perfume of truffle. The aroma is seriously hypnotizing, and the meat is seasoned just right, so tender you hardly need a steak knife. 
I’ve come to love a lot of dishes here over the years, but every time I sit down to order, it’s hard not to fixate on the filet.
