Number 60: Eggs Maximilian at Harlow’s Cafe
I can hardly drive past Harlow’s without making myself hungry for this over-the-top breakfast dish. Sure, it’s great hangover food, but I’d even eat this for dinner if given the chance. (Alas, Harlow’s isn’t a nighttime kinda place.)
Eggs Maximilian is not for the faint of appetite. It’s quite the impressive heap of food, perhaps enough to feed two people, but so tasty that you won’t want to share. Imagine crispy hash browns, belly-warming green chiles, and green onion on a giant tortilla, topped with eggs, spicy salsa, and a big scoop of sour cream — a power meal on a plate. Even better is the chorizo version, which has still more spicy kick and an addicting savory flavor.
Polish off a plate of this, with a couple cups of strong coffee to wash it down, and you won’t be hungry the rest of the day.
