We love champagne for its high alcohol content and celebratory vibe, but it needn’t be reserved only for special occasions. This Thursday, January 28, Avalon in Scottsdale hosts a champagne dinner, where guests will learn all about the sparkling wine from France and how to pair it correctly with meals.

To practice, diners will eat a three-course dinner, including items such as foie gras, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin and zabaglione. Some items are infused with champagne, others are paired with the drink. In addition to imbibing on goodies, guests will also learn how to incorporate the liquid into cooking–who would have thought?!

Reservations for the $29 (plus tax and gratuity) meal, which is from 7-8:30 p.m., may be made by calling (480) 656-0010.
