America’s Taco Shop, the delightful carna asada joint that’s got CenPho covered with its original location on 7th Street and recently-opened second outfit on 7th Avenue, is heading east, with a new Tempe restaurant scheduled to open this summer.
According to the Republic, owners Terry and America Corrales Bortin plan to serve up the same selection of carne asada tacos, burritos, and more out of a small space that used to be a Papa John’s (735 E. University, at Rural).
Considering the hordes of college kids in the vicinity, I expect the affordable, tasty menu to be a hit. Third time’s the charm, as they say.
