A sign just went up on the front door of the former Black Forest Mill restaurant (4900 E. Indian School), which closed a couple weeks ago, indicating that the location will once again be home to a German restaurant — this time under new ownership.
An employee at the adjoining German Sausage Co. says that the name hasn’t been determined yet, nor is the ownership confirmed, but the goal is to open the new eatery within four months.
Chances are, it won’t be party central the way Black Forest Mill was. The restaurant fell off the food radar while becoming a nightlife destination with weekly DJ events and a regular crowd of hip devotees.
