Though it might not look like much from the outside, Valley chefs and diners in the know have long been fans of central Phoenix’s Baiz Marketplace, a favorite spot in metro Phoenix for Middle Eastern groceries.
The aisles of imported olive oils, freshly baked breads, and hard-to-find spices make it a worthwhile destination for those in search of their next culinary adventure, while the restaurant’s extensive produce selection and butcher counter make it stand out from smaller international markets with more limited selections.
And we have good news for Baiz Marketplace fans in the southeast Valley. According the market’s website, Baiz will open a second location in Mesa, specifically at 1858 West Baseline Road, near the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads.
According to the Baiz Market website, the Mesa location will open to the public today, Thursday, July 20, and will operate from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
