With all the Independence Day festivities coming up, we almost forgot that British super couple (and the most interesting thing about the royal wedding), David and Victoria Beckham, who now live in Los Angeles, are expecting their fourth child on July 4th.
The British Open Pub in Scottsdale hasn’t.
“As Americans, we don’t have royalty, but we have a long-standing tradition of treating our celebrities as royalty,” said owner, Gregg Troilo. “The birth of Posh Spice and David Beckham’s fourth child in America on the Fourth of July is the perfect excuse for us to do what we do best – throw a party.”
Check out the festivities happening all day, Monday, July 4, at BOP, including special signature drinks called “The Silver Spoon” and “The Cigar” after the jump.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Well-wishers can enjoy two signature drinks: “The Cigar,” made with Pimm’s No. 1 British Sweet Gin mixed with ginger ale, cucumber, and served over ice for $5, and “The Silver Spoon,” made with either Cuervo 1800 Silver for $5, or as a Cuervo 1800 Silver margarita for $6.50.
Guess the correct time of birth of the all-American Brit and get a free dinner.
Oh, and extra credit if you dress up like David or Posh.
“We’ll have a Baby Beckham Watch going on all day,” Troilo said. “Then we’ll have a little celebration when she’s born.”
Aw, that’s cute. Wait a minute, she? Yup, the Beckham’s have already announced their fourth child, after three boys, will be a girl.
No pressure there, kid.
