The phrase, “You are what you eat” has never been more true for New York based photographer and ex-college English teacher, graphic designer, fiction writer, and advertising creative director, Ted Sabarese.

In his series, “Evolution,” Sabarese photographs people and the fish they resemble.

The idea of the relationship between food and folks isn’t new to Sabarese. Before Lady Gaga donned a meat dress, his series “Hunger Pains” in 2008 featured models wearing food as fashion — including a skirt made of rump roast, a body suit made of pasta, and a cocktail dress made of bread and chocolate.
