Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Beer For Brains! Tomorrow night, Rico’s American Grill at the Pointe Squaw Peak and the Beer for Brains Foundation are teaming up with four of our beloved local breweries for a special fundraising dinner. Start with appetizer at 6:30 p.m.  and sit down to a fancy six-course meal complete with beer tasting from SanTan, Sun Up, Sonoran, and Grand Canyon.  One course that caught our eye — scallop wrapped pork belly with lemon grass, sweet chili plum sauce and sweet corn panacotta served with Sun Up’s Trooper IPA and SanTan’s Devil’s Pale Ale. The evening is going to run you $59 ++ per person, all proceeds will be donated to the Barrow Brain Tumor Research Center in Phoenix. Reservations are required. Call 602-997-5850 to save your spot.

S’Mores in a JarIf the cupcake ever does get replaces it’s either going to be by the S’mores or by cakes in jars. So of course we weren’t the least bit shocked when we saw How Sweet Eats’ combine the two into one sinful dessert. Graham cracker crust meets double chocolate cake and marshmallows in one convenient package. Get the recipe here.
