Holy burger bomb! How’s a Fry Girl supposed to catch up with the latest Jersey Shore dirt (news flash: Ronnie called Sammi a bitch — for serious!) when the worldwide interwebs is all bogged down with bloggage about Burger King’s New York Pizza Burger?
Set fast-food feak show gun to stun, this one’s a doozy.
Set to debut in September exclusively at the New York City Whopper Bar (Burger King’s 24-hour, seven-day-a-week flagship outlet in Times Square) the New York Pizza Burger is a monstrous mash-up of pizza and Whopper. It features four quarter-pound patties topped with pepperoni, mozzarella, marinara, and Tuscan sauce, stacked in a nine-and-a-half-inch sesame-seed bun cut into six slices.
Many say it’s a gimmick. More are lamenting its 2,530 calories, 144 grams of fat (59 grams saturated) and 380 mg of cholesterol.
