East Valley residents looking for a place to pick up prime cuts of beef or a whole rack of ribs have a new option to explore. Butcher Block Meats, a family-owned and operated butcher shop, comes courtesy of Tim Marzonie and opened earlier this summer at 4015 S. Arizona Avenue, on the southwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo Road.

The traditional butcher shop sells a variety of beef, pork, and chicken products, as well as meaty packages such as The Omaha, which includes petite sirloin steaks, tri-tip steaks or roast, hamburger patties, boneless pork loin chops, and boneless chicken breast for $69.

Butcher Block is sourcing their meats from The Greater Omaha Packing Company, a Nebraska-based outlet that’s been open since 1920. All of the shop’s USDA Prime and CAB Choice grade meats have been aged for a minimum of 30 days. Chicken and pork products are all-natural.

Fresh sausages are also available, as well as lunch meats and cheese from Dietz & Watson.

For those looking to feed more than just a few mouths, Butcher Block is offering packages that group meats by cooking style. For grill-fiends there’s The Griller, which includes 2 lbs of each: tenderloin steaks, New York steaks, T-bone steaks, and top sirloin steaks for $99.

For more information about the range of products, visit the Butcher Block Meats website.
