Fair Trade Cafe is full of flavor, and we’re not talking about the handmade soaps they sell or the local artwork that adorns the walls. We’re talking literal flavors — Fair Trade Cafe stocks more than a dozen different kinds of syrup, and the baristas will happily make a java featuring any flavor. So if you’re craving an almond blackberry cherry mocha or a kiwi and amaretto cappuccino, this is your place.
But our palates are not so exotic when it comes to coffee. We decided to try the Coconut Mocha Bianca advertised as a special at Fair Trade.
We weren’t disappointed. This sweet, rich coffee is topped with a frothy white layer of foam, and bursts with chocolate and coconut flavor. But it goes down smooth, with no bitter or sticky-sweet aftertaste. The sugar rush is substantial, but so is the caffeine kick, and the two probably bolster each other. We definitely recommend Fair Trade Cafe’s Coconut Mocha Biana for a sweet start to any day.
