Coastal Mexican cuisine via California makes its way into the Valley in March when SOL Cocina, from the owners of Ra Sushi and The Mastro Group, moves into the former Parc Central space at Scottsdale Quarter.

The sophisticated restaurant featuring upscale modern Mexican fare established its first location in Newport Beach, California, in 2009. The 260-seat Scottsdale spot, and the restaurant’s second location, will feature an indoor/outdoor patio and bar with upscale cuisine inspired by the Baja peninsula, including over 17 salad creations.

Deborah Schneider, SOL Cocina’s executive chef and author of five books on Mexican cooking, will bring dishes such as Hot & Raw Ceviche, Shortribs Barbacoa, and Grilled Fish Taco Zarandeado to the new location.
